Protect Yourself from Fraud

Scammers are increasingly using phone number spoofing to make it appear that the call is coming from your financial institution. BR Telco will never reach out to you directly to ask for your sensitive information, such as: 

  • Online banking username or password
  • Full debit or credit card number
  • Debit or credit expiration date or CVV code
  • PIN or security code
  • One-time passcodes sent via text or email

They may also attempt to get you to approve a legitimate, BR Telco fraud alert (via text or email) that they've initiated, while on the phone with you.

Please remember: BR Telco will NEVER call, text, or email you asking for this kind of information.

Do not share personal, sensitive information over the phone unless YOU initiated the call. If it seems suspicious, please hang up immediately and call us back directly at 225.924.8900.
